Richard Frederick Wedge

Richard Frederick Wedge (AKA Dick) was born in Summerside P.E.I on August 23, 1937. Dick married Doris in December 1956. He joined The Canadian Air Force in 1956. Dick was ParaRescue, and he also taught in Nuclear Weapons. Dick also had a chance to play for the St. Louis Cardinals. Dick was stationed in Germany for 4 years. He then retired in 1981, after 25 years of service. Dick’s passions were golf and music. Dick married Irene in April 1999. Dick is predeceased by mother Daisy Lofstrom, step -father Auggie, brother Lewis Wedge, and son Ricky Wedge. Survived by his wife Irene Wedge Kelowna, Sister Linda Moore (Dave) Island View N.B, Children, son Tony King (Lois) Angus, Ontario, daughter Dianne Wirtz (Fritz) Kelowna, daughter Debbie Ryerse (Rusty) Kelowna, grandchildren Kerrie Hansen (Steve) Vancouver, Jennifer King Vancouver, Travis Sehn Kelowna, Jordan Wirtz (Lynn) Kelowna, James Stanton Calgary, Candis Heinzelman Kelowna, great Grandchildren Kallum, Stella, Sadie, Brendan, Brock, Tianna, and Serenity.

The family would like to thank Sun Pointe Village (Reid’s Corner) for their outstanding care.

A Celebration of Life will be held April 12th at 4:00 p.m. at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Rutland, 130 Gerstmar Rd, Kelowna, BC. Everyone is welcome.
