Samuel Pestes was born in Saskatchewan in 1923, where, being the eldest of 6 children, they worked the family farm. As a young man, Samuel earned a degree in theology, and devoted much of his life to various christian ministries. After marrying Dorothy Bohannon in 1950, they raised three children in British Columbia, supporting their family through numerous business ventures. Later in life, Samuel found the inspiration to author several religious books.
He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy, and is survived by his children, David, Linda and Robert, as well as five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
