Scott Andrew Benzer

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Scott on January 5, 2026 in Kelowna after a long illness. Scott passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He was our son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. Scott was born on October 28,1965 in Kelowna.

Scott was predeceased by his father Ernie, grandparents and 3 uncles.

Scott is survived by his mother, Kaye, sisters Patti (Peter), Sandra (Barry), Jill (Peter), 4 nieces, 4 nephews, 1 great niece, 1 great nephew and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

After graduating from KSS Scott attended Selkirk College obtaining a Forestry Technician Certificate. He worked in forestry for 10 years before earning his Civil Engineering Technology Certificate at Okanagan College. Scott worked for Okanagan Irrigation District until he followed his desire to live in northern BC, working in Kitimat. Returning to Kelowna he worked at KGH for a number of years.

Scott always expressed his gratitude for the support of his many close friends and family as he met and faced his mounting health challenges with strength, determination and courage.

We will cherish his memory.

Please join us in a celebration of Scott's life at First Memorial Funeral Home at 1211 Sutherland Ave on Wednesday January 7 at 11:00 am.
