Terrance (Terry) John Houston

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Terrance John Houston on December 24, 2024 at home, surrounded by his devoted family. Born on March 13, 1938 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Terry lived a life filled with adventure, hard work, humour, and love for his family and friends.

Terry was predeceased by his beloved wife, Heather Houston (nee’ Grant), whose memory he cherished everyday. He is survived by his daughters, Virginia (Peter Palma) and Felena (Dan Sigal): his grandchildren Addie, Tovah, Evah, Olivia, Lauren, Sam and Jacob; and greatgrandchildren Alora, Gracie, Willow, Nella, Dimitris, Nikos, Sam, Ari, Olive, Claire, Wilson, Sully, Hazel, Milo and Sofie.

A man of many talents and passions, Terry was an avid outdoorsman who spent countless seasons hunting and guiding enthusiasts from around the world. At home, he found joy in his garden, where he cultivated a bounty of fresh produce which he would deliver to friends and family. Terry had great pride in managing the family farm, tending to his beloved grapes and corn patch.

Known for his sharp wit, deep integrity and loyal heart, Terry was a man who valued connections and conversation. Whether engaging in a hearty debate or sharing a laugh, he brought light and energy to every interaction. His legacy of resilience, hard work and steadfastness will live on in the countless lives he touched.

A private family gathering will be held to honour Terry’s life and the memories he leaves behind.
