Theresa Jordan

Sept. 29, 1929 – April 27, 2011

Theresa Jordan, beloved wife of Lester Jordan passed away in Kelowna at the age of 82. Theresa was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the eldest of three children. She worked in Thunder Bay, Ontario where she met and married Lester. Their careers led them to Calgary, Alberta where she worked for the Bank of Montreal. They later moved to Salmon Arm, BC where she was able to enjoy her love of gardening. Upon Lester’s retirement they moved to Kelowna. Theresa is survived by her loving husband Lester, step-daughters Christine (Ross) and Karen (Garry); four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Julia Rose Ruffolo, nephew Robert and numerous great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and brother James Melnichuk. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of First Memorial Funeral Services, 1211 Sutherland Avenue at 10:30 am on Friday, June 3, 2011. In lieu of flowers a contribution can be made to the charity of your choice in her name. A celebration reception for Theresa will be held at a later date.
