

On May 23, 2024, long time Okanagan resident, Thomas “Tom” Polacco passed away peacefully at Kelowna General Hospital at the age of 83 surrounded by his family. Tom was born in 1941 in Chittagong, Bangladesh.
Tom will be lovingly remembered by his wife Mary-Kay whom he married on August 14, 1993.
They welcomed their son Chris in 1998 and together built a life of love and shared experiences.
Tom’s commitment to his family was evident in every aspect of his life raising
their son to being a strong rock for his family.
Professionally, Tom enjoyed a successful career as a Travel Agent, where his hard work and integrity earned him the respect of colleagues and clients alike.
Tom is also survived by his sister Norma Ali, nephews Andy Marlow (Tina Marlow),
Floyd Marlow (Agnela Marlow) niece Jackie Shirazi (Kazem Shirazi) and his many great nieces and nephews.
He will also be missed by sisters-in-law, Kenna Ball, Dianne Ferro (Lester Ouchi) Laurie Paynter (David Paynter) and their family.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Johanna Polacco, brothers Clement Polacco and Reginald Polacco, sister Jean Marlow and nephew Leon Marlow
Tom's sudden departure leaves a void in the lives of all who knew him. His memory will be cherished by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of crossing paths with him. Tom will be dearly missed but never forgotten. May he rest in peace, knowing he leaves behind a legacy of love and a family who adored him beyond measure.
