

Vivien Evelyn Pridham (née Vanidour) passed away peacefully on Monday, July 15th surrounded by her loving family. Vivien was predeceased by her mother Helen (nee McCall) Vanidour Ritchie (Robert), father Fredrick Vanidour, and brother Arthur Vanidour. She is survived by her devoted husband Rodney Pridham, children Margot Pridham (Michel Morrow), Alison (Joseph Coppock), Laurence Pridham (Shawna Garber), grandchildren Tristan Wickham, Joseph Coppock, Karen Coppock, Laura Coppock, Maria Coppock (Jaime Belongia), Ellie Oates, Vivien Pridham, and great-grandchild Charlotte Wickham.
Vivien's journey began in Kelowna on March 29, 1933. She attended Kelowna High School, where she excelled academically and found joy in synchronized swimming. Following her passion for caregiving, she pursued her education at St. Paul's School of Nursing in Vancouver, BC. Upon graduation, Vivien returned to Kelowna, dedicating her career to nursing at Kelowna General Hospital and later at Dr. Knox Clinic.
Outside of her professional life, Vivien found immense happiness in travelling as well as sports, particularly badminton, golf, and fishing, while also cherishing the role of a nurturing mother to her three children. Known for her vibrant personality and quick wit, Vivien was the heart of every gathering, especially renowned for rousing games of Rummoli and hosting the Pridham’s annual New Year's Day open house.
Vivien will be fondly remembered for her unwavering love, infectious laughter, and profound impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her family and friends will always treasure the memory of her kindness, generosity, and joy.
A celebration of Vivien's life will be held at 924 Laurier Avenue, Kelowna, BC on August 17th from 1 to 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of BC or Canada in her honor.
