

Bill passed away peacefully at Sunpointe Village, in Kelowna on January 27th, 2021 at the age of 85.
Bill is predeceased by his loving wife, Anne, of 53 years.
Bill leaves to mourn his 3 children, Stewart (Liz) Rutter, Kelly (Kevin) Hemingway, Kevin Rutter.
Bill also leaves to mourn his Grandchildren; Stephen, Brittney (Colin), Melissa (Devon), Scott, Conner, Austin and his Great Grandson, Duncan.
Bill was the youngest of 4 children born to William and Mary Rutter (Predeceased) in Toronto, Ontario. Bill is also predeceased by his eldest brother, Harry (Jean), his sister Margaret (William) Morgan, Bill leaves to mourn his sister, Jean (Patrick, predeceased) Porrill.
Bill served in the Canadian Air Force for over 30 years. He was a Master Corporal and served as a peacekeeper in India and Pakistan. Bill volunteered at the Military Museum in Kelowna where he loved to spend his time. Bill enjoyed riding his Motorcycle for many years as well as spending time in Cottage Country boating and camping while raising his family in Ontario. In his retirement he took in a vast array of sports and activities as a devoted fan to his grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at Sunpointe Village for their care and compassion during Bill's time as a resident there.
Bill will be missed but not forgotten.
A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
