

Born in January 1938 in Grande Prairie Alberta to Ruby (nee Ireland) and William Robert Sinclair William lived most of his life in West Vancouver but did live a number of years in Edmonton Alberta, Richmond BC, Burlington Ontario and his final years in West Kelowna.
He is survived by his loving Wife Marilynn Sinclair (Nee Sostad) of 58 years three Sons, David (Dori), Daniel(Anny), Don (Cheryl) and 6 Grand Children Chelsea, Jesse, Sterling (D. 2021), Andrew, Sydney, Courtney, Brother-in-Law Ron Sostad, Nephews Bill (Donna), Andrew Sinclair, Tyler Sinclair, Andrew Sostad, Chris Sostad and Step Mother Stella. Along with many other cousins and Family in Grande Prairie and abroad.
William left school at an early age and worked a number of years in the hotel business eventually joining the navy which was the beginning of his 35 years of service with the Federal Government. Graduating from SFU in 1974 while raising three children William was able to achieve his Master’s Degree in Economics. William served as Chief Economist for the Federal government heading up many departments including Fisheries/Oceans, Forestry, Northern and Indian Affairs and department of the Environment consulting and assisting other countries in cleaning up their environmental footprint and setting up Federal Green Plans. William authored several books that are still used today in academia.
When not enjoying a Canucks, BC Lions, Seattle Seahawks, Blue Jays or White Caps game, William could be found enjoying the family shelties, fishing, coaching minor league softball, bowling or traveling the world with his Wife Marilynn.
The Family would like to thank all his doctors and the staff at Brook Haven for making his final days most comfortable.
