Warren built his life around showing up for the people he cared about. He was a small business owner, a committed volunteer, and a Life Member of the Kinsmen Club, but his proudest work was closer to home. He coached, trained, and volunteered with his children’s sports teams, believing that time spent together mattered more than titles or recognition.
Warren raised his family in Spruce Grove, Alberta, where community was not an abstract idea but a daily practice. In retirement, he moved to Vernon, British Columbia, where neighbours knew him as someone who could be counted on for a kind word, a helping hand, or vegetables from his garden. He was steady, practical, and generous in quiet ways.
Warren is survived by his wife, Pat Gale; his daughter and son-in-law, Jen and Shane Halfyard, and their children, Alex and Taylor; his son and daughter-in-law, Kellen and Amber Gale, and their children, Kason, Makenna, Kendall, and Silas; and his youngest son, Michael Gale. He is also survived by his siblings, Winnona, Dave, Don (Joan), and Linda. He was predeceased by his parents, William (Bill) Gale and Bernice (Sutfin) Gale.
Warren will be remembered for his reliability, his love of family, and the quiet determination with which he lived his values.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation, in accordance with Warren and Pat’s wishes.
