

Paul Ellis McDougald, 77, of Kemp, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2016. A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, August 7, 2016 at 2PM at the Anderson Clayton Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Kemp.
Paul was born on August 18, 1938 in Kemp to the late Duncan Miller McDougald and Opal Faye McDougald. He graduated from Kemp High School in 1956 and later that year he enlisted and bravely served in the United States Army from 1956-1960. Following his discharge Paul worked for Texas Instruments for many years before starting his own cattle and ranching operation in Kemp.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother, Kenneth Don McDougald. He has left to cherish his memory his wife of 54 years, Charlotte Hefner McDougald and their only child, Kellie McDougald of Kemp. He is also survived by his grandchildren Whitney Taylor Rice & Matt of Melissa; Brennan Taylor & Ben Nielsen of Wichita Falls, Baily Paul Taylor and Klayton Karl of Kemp. 2 great grandchildren Mason Rice & Collin Rice of Melissa.
Paul will be remembered by a host of family and friends for his quick wit, huge smile and devotion and loyalty to those he loved. He will be honorably buried by a close group of men whom he highly respected and admired; Harvey McDougald, Brandon Greenhaw, Mike Owens, Les Smith, Tad McAnally and Dewayne Taylor.
