

Sharon was born January 29, 1939 in Kaufman County, Texas to Earnest Leslie and Faye Catherine (Peters) Broumley and went to meet Jesus in Heaven on August 25, 2017 at the age of 78. Sharon was a devoted wife and natural caregiver. She enjoyed reading her Bible and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Sharon the genealogy expert of her extensive family was related to Albert E. Broumley who wrote the gospel song “I’ll Fly Away”. Sharon was a realtor for a long time then kept herself busy with her interests of cooking, sewing, crafting, scrapbooking and crochet. She was a loving caring person who will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved her.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Cotton Shelton, stepfather Arthur Chandler, sisters; Fayrene Aday, Virginia Broumley, brothers; Terry Broumley, Wayman Chandler, Jr Chandler, and Billy Wayne Chandler.
She is survived by her children; Debra Zepeda and John of Garland, Daniel Chandler of Kemp, Rick Chandler and Dixie of Seven Points, Mark Chandler and Ruth of Lively, Cody Shelton and Janet of Kemp, Charles Shelton and Cherie of Styx, Tina Maddox of Payne Springs, James Shelton and Betty of Kemp, Brian Keith Shelton and Jeannena of North Carolina, 16 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, 6 brothers; Jerry Broumley and Debbie of Kemp, Billy Broumley and Tonya of Kemp, Ronald Chandler and Susan of St. Joe, Texas, Michael Chandler of Flowermound, Maxi Chandler and Faye of Styx, Charles Chandler and Elizabeth of Styx, 2 sisters; Rosanne Broumley of Seven Points, Patsy Broumley of Terrell, nieces, nephews, other family members, and many more friends.
