

Walter Wells Weddell was born May 18th, 1947 in Cushing, Oklahoma to parents Robert Weddell and Elizabeth (Sawyer) Weddell and entered into eternal rest on February 10, 2016 at the Age of 68. Walt served our Country in the United States Navy, he was a "River Rat" during the Vietnam War, and received a Purple Heart. He and Lomita would have been married 46 years on August 15, 2016. Out of the Navy Walt started working at Dallas Power and Light, and retired after 23 years. He returned to work at Solar Turbines in Mabank, Texas and again retired after 12 years. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, and served as the Chaplin for the Kaufman District VFW. He loved to ride motorcycles, and was a member of the Patriot Guard Riders.
Walt was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 stepbrothers.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 45 years, son Jeremy Weddell, and wife Rebekah Weddell of Scurry, granddaughter Jostyn Weddell, soon to be granddaughter Jace Weddell, sister Sandy Champ and husband Jim, of Little River, niece Carol Morris, nephew Jimmy Champ, nephew Arthur Champ, and many, many other family and friends.
