Jack, one of the angels on earth with hidden wings. He had a way of making you feel like the most important person in the world. God speed my friend you will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing you. 

We lost a pillar this week. A mentor. A model. A living example of serving “the least of these”.  A person I held in such esteem, I never felt quite worthy to call him a friend.  Because he was so big. And worthy. He helped to form the foundation of my career, and to a great extent my life and purpose in it.  Thank you Jack Guastaferro. Your legacy lives and will thrive.

How, ironic that flowers are greatfully declined.  In 2009, we were holding a Rally for equal insurance parity for those seeking help with mental health, in downtown Buffalo, at/on Lafayette Sq.  Jack and I were able to create a rally of well over 100 people.  Then the police came and despite our permit to assemble, the Buffalo Police tried to move us because we were stomping on all the planted flowers.  Jack walked right down the middle of the Street with Roger Stone, and Tim Maggio to the Mayors office.  The Police then let us continue our rally.  Jack speaking so passionately dignified, as flowers were getting stomped on.  That year, the health insurance Parity Law was passed in NYS.  So, enjoy those low co-pays for mental health care.  Jack was one of our hero’s that made it happen, despite the flowers.  God bless you Jack Guataferro,  Thank you for being a part of my “Recovery Happens!

Oh Jack. My mentor, teacher and friend.  He taught me so much and he was always there for me professionally for support, encouragement and honest feedback. A great guy with a great sense of humor. He definitely touched my heart and left a lasting impression. I will miss you Jack.... RIP and may God wrap his loving arms around his family and friends during this time. 
 

My baby brother, a rascally little boy who grew into a wonderful friend., He was funny, sarcastic teasing but also loving & caring, a wonderful cook & party giver, always the gracious host & generous to a fault. He was a champion of the underdog always there to help. Love you baby bro!!Fly with the angels!

Jack was a great mentor and friend he lead RSI through many transformative years where money was tight and used and taught me networking skills that I have used in my life.
He led Restoration in the early year and it is safe to say without Jacks work and dedication Restoration Society would not be the agency it is today

Finally I will quote Jack's personal mission statement he confided to some of the early clients.
" OUR ULTIMATE GOAL OF THIS AGENCY IS TO PUT OURSELVES OUT OF BUSINESS "
His wit and humanity will be missed in this cruel world 😔 😔 😔
