I am so awfully sorry to hear about Maureen’s passing.  She was one of the first new friends I made in college.  My fondest memory of her is when I came down with a cold during the first month of college, and she showed up at my dorm room with a warm bowl of chicken soup.  That act alone made me realize what a truly unique, special person she was.  Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss.

My condolences to all the Lindners.  I had the pleasure of teaching Luke and Beth and got to know Maureen through them.  Such a wonderful person who loved you all so dearly.  Thinking of all of you as you navigate through your loss.

We will miss our sweet friend Maureen. She was beautiful inside and out. I will our conversations and her sunny smile. Praying for her family.

I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Maureen at LDP when we were both providing early intervention services to many of our bilingual families in Buffalo.  She was such a kind and compassionate person and very hard working and dedicated to our kids and their families. I will always remember her for her vibrant and fun loving personality, her wonderful smile and generous spirit. 

I can't even imagine the void her loss will leave in her family's life and want to extend my condolences to Mike, Luke, Beth and Cole.  Maureen was truly one of a kind and we are all truly blessed to have had her in our lives.

I worked with Maureen for many years at Lafayette High School and later at School #3.  Maureen was an incredibly hard working and dedicated teacher. Her kindness and  compassion for others was evident in her interactions with her students, especially those students that were hard to reach. 

Maureen had a way of making others feel special. She always greeted me with a big smile and hug and made me feel so appreciated, no matter the trials and tribulations she faced. 

As mothers with children of similar ages,  Maureen and I frequently shared the celebrations and challenges of parenting.  We laughed and worried together,  always hoping and praying that we were making the right choices for our families.  Maureen's great love for her husband and her children was evident in every conversation.  

I will miss Maureen a great deal. She will remain forever in a piece of my heart.

I had the pleasure of serving with Maureen at AWANA at Kenmore Alliance when I was in college, and  I will always remember how much the joy of the Lord overflowed through her life. She was a beacon of light and will be missed all over. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time.

I was a co-worker with Maureen at Lafayette High School.  One fond memory I have of her was that she got a few colleagues together once a week to pray together in the morning.  It was the first time I had prayed with my co-workers and I appreciated her boldness to initiate this prayer time. I remember her being so joyful, caring, and loving.  It sounds so cliche, but she truly was a bright light for Christ at our school. 

After hearing this sad news and seeing the photos of her with her family, friends and children, I reflected upon my memory of Maureen, prompted by the posting of one of our childhood friends Colleen from St. Barnabas. I found some old photos of our time together as children, and how her smile and positivity were contagious.  We got each other through those awkward years as early teens. Although I did not know Maureen as an adult,  I can see the outpouring of love and admiration for her continued throughout her life. Thank you for all the special ways you touched the people in your life.  

When we were very young, Maureen and I lived across the street from each other and were best friends. When she moved away in third grade I was devastated. While we eventually met up again in high school at Sacred Heart, we weren't able to reconnect with the same close friendship. Still, when I learned of her passing this week, it brought tears to my eyes. She was a special part of my childhood and I can't believe she's gone so young. My deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to her family. 

Shocked and truly saddened about this news!!  Maureen was always so sweet and kind to everyone, and she always was smiling and always so very nice to me.

My deepest condolences to  Mike and the entire family.  May God comfort you all as only he can.

Smiles, hugs and laughter is how I remember Maureen. She was a gift to this world and knowing her made my life better.

So sad to hear this news. I remember Maureen as someone who went above and beyond for others. She came to our home and spent hours at our kitchen table, sorting through and praying through our son’s school decisions. At church, she would seek us out and be unreasonably joyful at our mere presence! Always ready with a warm hug and encouraging word. What a beautiful woman, inside and out. She will surely be missed. Our heart goes out to her family. So glad we have the hope of seeing her again.

What sad news I heard today. Maureen , you were amazing with my daughter Anastasia. You did so much for us, gave us hope and  taught us . You’ve always had a special place in our hearts, and always will.

Anytime I would be lucky enough to spend even a short while with Maureen I would leave thinking the same thing- I wish I was just like her. Maureen personified kindness and joy!  Her faith and love for her family were things she so freely shared!  She was uplifting and genuinely caring and had the God-given gift of making everyone around her feel special and important and beautiful when she was really the one who was special and important and beautiful- inside and out. I am better for having known her and the world is better because she was in it. Mike, Luke, Beth, and Cole, please take comfort in the way your friends and family admire her. Every life she touched was affected by her love. She will be missed so very much.

I was in shock when I heard the news. You were like a second mother to me. You were a saint and saw good in everyone. My heart aches for the Lindner’s. An amazing woman that deserved more time on this planet. 

So saddened by this news. How can someone so incredibly vibrant be gone too soon? Maureen, we were classmates at Barnabas and oh how the memories flooded in when my brother Paul called to let me know. You and Jocelyn were two peas in a pod and the fun you both generated for our small class of 15 was a riot. You were a natural born leader, energetic and intelligent. Your laughter filled any open space and your wisdom impacted everyone in your path. You will be so missed. All my love to Luke, Beth and Cole, all of whom I was blessed to see everyday at Tapestry and to everyone who knows and love you. 

Maureen radiated beauty inside and out. One of the most caring, selfless, special women I have had the privilege of knowing. I am heartbroken to find out of her passing.

The memory that I have of Maureen that will never leave occurred when I, myself was diagnosed with cancer. While working with her at School #3, she heard of my diagnosis and immediately called to let me know I am in her heart. Offering whatever love and support she could, despite her own battle.

Her act of kindness was just one of many. She has been taken way too soon, but will live on in my memories a lifetime. RIP sweet angel ❤

I had the honor of getting to know Maureen when we shared a bilingual classroom at Lanquage Development  Program  in the late 90’s. Maureen left an indelible  impression on me . She was one of the smartest most intuitive educators I have ever collaborated with . Maureen was a consummate professional . She had a calming grace in often stressful classroom situations . Her insight and opinions were sought out by her colleagues. Maureen has wisdom , I believe  beyond her years. We taught for 3 years together . She and Michael welcomed their first child Luke . What a lucky boy I thought - blessed with a great Mom ! Maureen and I went our separate ways  vowing to stay in touch . Well we all know how that goes ... I was busy with my new teaching position and a young child and Maureen was a working Mom with a growing family .
       Years later to both of our surprise we bumped into each other at a Buffalo Teachers Union meeting .We both were special ed. Teachers in the district . Long after the parking lot emptied we stood in misting rain talking , catching up on the personal  news of our lives . We talked about our children, the challenges balancing home and work and the dysfunction we saw in the trenches of the district- our challenging classrooms in special ed. Neither of us wanted to give up the heartfelt sharing that night . We reconnected in so many ways . Finally , recognizing that we were standing in the rain we exchanged our phone numbers . We hugged and promised to get together . Then we hugged again . I remember our joy at reconnecting and her sparkling eyes, and her musical laugh and her unforgettable smile . That was , is my forever image of her in my mind . So vibrant so authentic a person .
     I had the honor of sharing a small piece of Maureen’s history and life . I  am in pain and grief as I write this over her loss . I can only imagine the grief that her family who shared her life  must be feeling. My prayers go out to you . May memories sustain you.

So many memories, Maureen was such a beautiful woman inside and out. My last memory was Fri night. Every conversation I ever had with Maureen, made me feel like we were the only two people that existed in that space at that time. She had a way of drawing you in and absorbing what you were saying instead of  merely listening.  She always wanted to know how I was doing, and what was new with ME. From the moment I met Maureen, I knew we would be friends.  First off, its hard to miss what a beautiful woman she indeed was. Her beautiful smile lit up a room and kind smiling eyes were captivating, the kind that draw you right in. But beyond her physical beauty,  was her beautiful spirit, her soul. She was a person whose soul shined from the inside out; like a candle, lit from within. Maureen and I often referred to each other as kindred spirits, always running late... optimism is what we called it.  I will miss my dear friend Maureen so much.  She was a light in so many lives. I am heartbroken for her family.  My deepest condolences and prayers that God will hold you in his arms during this most difficult time.  I know that her light will continue to shine, as she lives on through each of you.

Maureen has been such a wonderful influence on our lives at School 3. I can’t begin to number the times I’d come around a hallway corner to see her bright smile; it often would transform a day.
