Dear Sharon & all family members,
I was sad to hear of your loss from my sister, Carolyn.  I know it was a release to a better place for him, but a loss for those he left behind.  Alan was a wonderful role model and set a great example of what a human being should be in all aspects of his life.  I know your old group of friends are all saddened for your loss, Sharon.

I remember this man when I was a young man joining the fire hall great mentor great man.

The officers and firefighters of the Snyder Fire Department are mourning with all of you at the loss of our beloved brother and life member RA. He was a valued and dedicated member our our organization for many years, and he will never be forgotten.

I only knew Mr. Davis for a few short years, but it was always a pleasant visit when I stopped by. All my best to you and your family during this difficult time.

Wishing peace to you and your family, Scott.  Your dad looked like the map of Ireland, and I'm sure he shared your warmth and humor.

Dearest Sharon and family,  It is with a very heavy heart to hear the news of Allen's passing.  Our prayers and thoughts will be with you during this difficult time.  We all enjoyed his company at the Angel's Annual Dinner and seeing him, most recently at Sister Nancy's Jubilee celebration.  My mom, Ceil Grzybek, sends her heartfelt condolences and will truly miss his engaging conversations with her.

My mom shared the sad news with me. I loved visiting with all of you growing up. I remember Mr. Davis as fun to be around, a great talker and storyteller and a kindness about him. I hope in time that the lovely memories you have of him, his life and how he made you happy in so many ways soothes the pain and sadness.

Mrs. Davis, Shannon, Scott and family,  My deepest condolences on the loss.  I have fond memories of visiting with your family growing up.  Mr. Davis was a very kind, engaging, fun and caring man.  He was special.  Please know I will hold your family in my thoughts and prayers.  May he rest in peace.

My thoughts and prayers are with all as you travel this sad journey. For over 50 years I have shared a friendship with both of you, Alan and Eddie shared many interests and long conversations, they both enjoyed history and sports and they both needed their patience while Sharon and I went  from topic to topic with great enthusiasm. I can picture the two of them now renewing their friendship and continuing their talks and always watching out for us and their families. Alan was gentle, smart, kind and loving, he accepted his burdens and continued to live life as best he could, he is now free. Welcome home good and faithful servant.You will be missed and always remembered.

It is difficult to imagine this world without Alan in it. That laugh, that easy way he engaged in conversation, that compassion he showed for seemingly everyone he encountered make up our memories of him. Thank you for sharing him with us these past 40 years. How blessed we were to have lived in the time that Alan did!
