So I was just thinking of Robert today (as I do from time to time) and thought I’d call the last number I had for him. 

Unfortunately the number was no longer in service. I called the building I last remembered him living at but there was no answer. I looked him up on the internet and unfortunately I came across his obituary. 

Bob and I were neighbors back in the early 90’s and I did my best to stay in touch with him, but lost touch with him in early 2011 ish.

He WAS a wealth of information and I learned a great deal of Buffalo’s history from him. I often felt that he wanted to teach you everything he knew. 

Bob’s “company”, I’m sure has been missed.

and always friendly--He had a gift for his "ability" to converse on any subject
in a knowledgeable way.-we had known him and been in his company often

My heartfelt sympathy to Bob's family. He was very proud of his nieces and nephews and spoke of you often. We were neighbors. He loved to chat about everything, from current national affairs to activities in our apartment building. As a Niagara University booster, Bob also enjoyed making sure that I (a Canisius grad) knew whenever any Griffin team lost a game! All in good fun, of course. Rest in peace, Bob.
