Adam Robert Louis Caris passed away on Tuesday, October 8th, 2024, in East Point, Georgia. Adam was born June 1st, 1983, in Shakopee, Minnesota to Marc and Leslie Caris. He later moved to Georgia as a child where he attended North Cobb High School graduating in 2003. He then continued his studies in Alabama at Auburn University.
After leaving Auburn, Adam discovered he was a man of many trades. He worked in distribution, car sales and the restaurant industry, and in 2013 he moved to Houston to work as a high-end bartender. Though Adam loved Texas, Georgia never left his mind, and he returned to the Atlanta area in 2018 to start a career in the moving industry. He eventually started his own company, Home Moving and Hauling, which he operated until his passing.
Adam was a free spirit who loved to roam making the moving industry his perfect fit. The open road called to him, and he loved seeing the country, staying in small towns and meeting new people. He was a charmer who loved conversation. He wanted to hear stories while he made new ones, and pity the man who wanted to enjoy his beer in silence if Adam took the seat next to him.
Filled with fire and intensity, few pursued their passions with the zeal of Adam. His greatest love was music. Anyone who knew Adam merely even as an acquittance became a fan of the Grateful Dead and the Rolling Stones through his encyclopedic knowledge. If there were a record player available, he’d put them on.
Indeed, one of Adam’s most cherished possessions was his vast vinyl record collection. It was not just the Dead or the Stones, but everything from Miles Davis to the Misfits and Public Enemy to Radiohead. Music was a constant in his life. It helped keep him steady.
Adam is predeceased by his Grandparents Bob and Carol Caris and Louis and Barbara Sappanos.
He is survived by his Parents, Marc and Leslie Caris, and his brother, Evan Caris. Extended family members include Aunts and Uncles Peter and Kathy Sappanos and Emmy and David Yoder. In addition are his cousins Devon, Tony, Michale and Peter Sappanos and Jenny Giliberto and Hannah Tripletl.
Beloved son and brother, Adam always strived for the best, and his family loved him dearly. His flame burned bright, but we wish his candle had more wax. He will be dearly missed.
The funeral service will be held on October 26th at 3:00 p.m. in the Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home & Memorial Park.
