Alan was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marietta and had retired from Heidelberg USA, Inc. as an Application Engineer. In his spare time, Alan enjoyed genealogy, reading, gardening, and bird watching. Alan loved knowledge and words and was always creatively changing the lyrics to poems and songs, to the amusement of his family. He devoted his most precious resource, his time, to his wife and children, and in later years, his grandchildren.
Alan is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rita Greenall; his son Chris Greenall and wife Krista; his daughter Carolyn Greenall and partner Steve Swank; his brother Robert Greenall; his grandchildren Tayler, Cameron, Keenan, Ethan, and Riley; and his great granddaughter, Rosie.
A funeral mass in memory of Alan will be held on Saturday, October 23rd 2021, 2pm, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 87 Lacy St NW, Marietta, GA 30060. The Greenall family invites all those who wish to celebrate and remember Alan, to the family home of Carolyn Greenall directly after the mass. The address is 2794 Summer Ridge Lane, Kennesaw, GA 30152.
