Ms. Warren was born on July 25, 1932 in Canton, GA to her parents, Leatha and Ivie Warren. After graduating from Marietta High School in 1950, she attended several universities. Her studies included business and law. She began an insurance career with Worley & Schilling in 1947, and went on to operate Betty S. Warren Insurance Agency for many years.
“Aunt Betty” loved her nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews, and the newest generation of great, great nieces and nephews. Throughout her life, she enjoyed, hiking, fishing, boating, world travel, studying history, playing slots, and spoiling her beloved cats.
Ms. Warren is survived by her nephews and niece, Daniel Warren, Tim Warren, Renee Sees, and their children and grandchildren.
Ms. Warren will be honored in a memorial service on January 31, 2015 at 11:00 am. The memorial will take place at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home & Crematory, 2950 North Cobb Parkway, Kennesaw, GA 30152. At her request, her ashes will be dispersed in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of St. Simons Island, GA.
