On Sunday December 25, 2022, Billy Kitchens Loving Husband and Father of two Sons passed away at the age of 86.
Billy was born on March 27, 1936, in Experiment, Ga, to Loney and Vivian (Sailors) Kitchens.
He graduated from Lanier High School in Macon, Ga. where he played Football and was All-State and All American. In 1953 he was one of the top running backs in Georgia's Region 1-AA. He went on to Auburn University and played on the 1957 National Champion Team. On August 10, 1957, he Married (Dootsie) Elizabeth Marshall, the Love of his Life. Billy graduated Auburn and was in the Army for two years. Then moved back to Macon, Ga. and started working for Bibb Manufacturing which moved them to Dalton, Georgia for twenty years. He then moved to California to run Multitex's Division there for nine years. Then moved back to Georgia for nine years and retired in Florida.
Billy had a passion for Christ. He loved sharing his faith whenever the opportunity arised. He Loved his family and friends, loved playing golf and traveling with Dootsie whenever they could. He was known for his humor, generosity and his smile wherever he went and never met a stranger.
Billy was preceded in death by his Wife- (Dootsie) Elizabeth Kitchens, father - Loney Kitchens, Mother - Vivian Kitchens and Brother Ray Kitchens.
He is survived by his sons Russell and Kevin, Grandchildren; Justin, Lindsey, Erin, Candice, Chelsea and Daniel, Great Grandchildren; Triston, Logan, Savanna, Alex, Shaye, Will, Ayanna, Khaliq, Aminatta, Brielle, Delijah, Arminius, and Elijah as well as many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Billy will be held Saturday, January 28, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. The service will occur after the visitation on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 1:00 PM. The burial will occur Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Pine Ridge Memorial Park, 2950 Cobb Parkway North, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152.
