

Brelin “B.L.” Chambliss, 93 of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on April 18, 2025. B.L. was born April 11, 1932 to L.V. and Elsie May (Baldwin) Chambliss in Star City, Arkansas. B.L. graduated from Star City High School where he played football. Upon graduation he enlisted in the Navy where he was stationed in Okinawa during the Korean War. He married Virginia Carlene Jackson February 14, 1957 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He and his wife moved to Amarillo, Texas where his children were born. Later the family moved to Pine Bluff, Arkansas where he worked for Entergy until retirement. He enjoyed nature, always had a garden and loved to plant trees. He always had a workshop and enjoyed woodworking. B.L. was a man of strong faith and lived his life with quiet strength, honor, and love. He was a devoted husband, father, grandpa and great grandpa. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
B.L. is preceded in death by his wife Carlene, his son, Barry Chambliss, and grandson, David Brooksher. He is survived by his daughter, Terri Brooksher (Danny) of Kennesaw, GA, his son, Craig Chambliss of Atlanta, GA, grandson, Matthew Brooksher (Emily) of Kennesaw, GA, his sister Catherine Atkinson of Whitehall, AR, and great granddaughters Breelyn and Fallon Brooksher.
He will be laid to rest beside his wife and son at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, AR
