Carmon Carden Seritt, born June 5, 1921 to Samuel and Emmer Carden, in Bartow County, Ga, passed away at the age of 96, peacefully after a brief stay at Tranquility in Marietta. Carmon was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Lee A Seritt, her 5 year old daughter, Dorthey (Dot) Mae Seritt, her son in law, Leon Dowdy, her great grandson, Jason K Smalley, and her nine brothers and sisters. She is survived by a daughter, Bobbie Dowdy, two grandchildren, Janet Smalley (Keith), Greg Dowdy (Dawn), four great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, and four sister in laws. Mrs. Seritt was a Christian and a member of Mt Olivet Baptist in Acworth. She retired from Champion Garment Company as a seamstress in 1983. She enjoyed church, quilting, gardening, and traveling. Funeral services will be held Friday March 23, 2018 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home Kennesaw, GA., with Rev. Bobby Therrell and Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens in Rome, GA. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Thursday, March 22, at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home Kennesaw, GA.
