

Carol Anne Hicks (Jarzab), 84, died peacefully on the morning of Saturday November 30th at Tranquility Hospice Care in Marietta, GA. She was born in Bayonne, New Jersey, the first born of Stanley and Jean Jarzab.
As a young woman, Carol and worked hard at her family’s restaurant in Staten Island, NY. She enjoyed meeting every new person she came into contact with, and eventually met her husband, William (Bill) Hicks, a member of the U.S. Navy at the time, while working in the restaurant. While she always joked that she made him work for her heart, she gave it to him, and together they began to build a full and beautiful life, filled with laughter and love. Carol thrived her whole life as a wonderful homemaker, chef, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed speaking on the phone to those she loved daily and going to bingo as often as possible.
Carol is survived by three sons, William Hicks Jr (Linda Hicks), Robert Hicks (Patti Hicks), and Shawn Hicks (Sheila Hicks); four grandchildren, Tracy Gilbert (George Gilbert), Monica Hicks, Liam Hicks, and Katelyn Hicks; two great-grandchildren, Janiegh and Jack; four siblings Edward, Dolores Parlato and Diane Jarzab and John; and many more nieces, nephews, friends and family members. Carol is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, William Hicks Sr. Carol will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, located at 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, GA 30152, on December 6, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
The funeral service will follow at the same location at 12:00 pm.
A committal service will be held on December 6, 2025, at Crestlawn Memorial Park, located at 2000 Marietta Blvd NW, Atlanta, GA 30318.
