A visitation for Carol will be on Thursday, June 3, 2021, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. A chapel service will occur Friday, June 4, 2021, at 11:00 am. Burial will occur at Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Crawley, WV.
Carol was of the Baptist faith and made her career in the restaurant industry. She was well known in the Acworth - Kennesaw area from her time working at the Shanty House and at Daddy's Country Kitchen. Carol enjoyed doll making, gardening, and canning the many things that she grew. She will be missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing her.
Carol's survivors are son Gary Steinle; son Larry Hatfield; son Andy Jones; and daughter Lisa Metcalfe (Wayne); 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Golden Airon Jones, Sr. and her son Airon Jones.
