Clifton Odain Inniss was born to Joseph Jones and Germaine Howell on September 14, 1943, in Watts Village, St. George Barbados. Clifton migrated to New York, where he spent his early years working at Brooklyn Boiler. Later on, he and his two brothers, Andy and Len, started their own business, "KALIN." This is where he specialized in Boiler installations and repairs. Mr. Inniss and his beloved Gloria had a shared story of being previously married when they united, and this is where they got it right. Eventually, due to the onset of health issues, they moved to Georgia to make a fresh start.
When speaking with Mrs. Inniss, she will tell you that Clifton was always caring and gentle when it came to how he treated her and that he was truly a loving and devoted family man. The Inniss's were married on May 30th, 2003 and they shared this strong union for 20 years. Clifton had been ill for quite some time and Mrs. Inniss was his sole caregiver from 2004 until the day he passed away.
Mr. Inniss was very much a storyteller with an impeccable memory for names and instances in life as well as recalling poems. He is affectionately remembered by his wife and youngest son, CJ for being jovial, never meeting a stranger, and for being loud. Clifton was the type of man who did not allow the silly inconveniences of life to disturb his energy. His wife stated that even when she would be stressed he always understood that there was no reason for it, because, what will be will be.
Mr. Inniss was affiliated with several organizations; he became a member of the Masonic Lodge in 1996, was a member of the Empire Cricket Club, a Police Officer in Barbados, and The Barbershop Quartet at Kennesaw United Methodist Church where he had been a member since 2011. Mr. Clifton had quite a few hobbies such as table tennis, an affinity for music, and believed himself to be the best of DJ's.
Well recognized for his big smiles, Clifton Odain Inniss leaves behind his beloved wife Gloria Williams Inniss; his sons Ronald Wilson Inniss ( Beulah), CJ Williams - Inniss and Curtis Thorne; his daughters Juanne Inniss, Chrystal Inniss -Denoon(Vance), Christina Inniss- Howard (Damien), Cheryl Thorne, Cherry Ann Thorne; two brothers; Anderson Inniss( Deborah), Lennard Inniss (Lynette); seven grandchildren Aaron, Destiny, Asia, Daniel, Darion, Arriana, Jaylan.
