Col.(Ret.) David Allen Harrison

Col (ret.) David Allen Harrison of Kennesaw, GA passed away Wednesday July 27, 2011 at the age of 72. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 5, 2011 at 11:00am at the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw with Dr. Sam Matthews and Rev. Elaine Wilder officiating. Burial will follow in the Georgia National Cemetery at 2:00 pm.

A native of Tipton, Indiana, David was the youngest son of the late Lt. Col. Graydon and Beatrice Harrison. Traveling the world during his father’s assignments, David soon developed a passion for traveling. Upon graduating from Indiana University, he joined the U. S Army and continued to see the world. After a successful 30 year career, David retired and continued his passion of travel arriving at his final destination.

Col. Harrison is preceded in death by his first wife, Sharron W. Harrison and survived by his loving spouse, Norma Schroll Harrison of Kennesaw; Daughters – Pamela K. Kuspa of Windlake, WI and Heather A. Huddleston of Marietta, GA; Son – Bradley S. Harrison of New Albany, IN; Step-son, Tim Schroll of Lafayette, IN; Step-daughters – Cathy LaValley of Battle Creek, MI, Jan McCorkle of Camby, IN and Judy Franklin of Sharpsville, IN, in addition to 6 grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren and 14 step-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in David’s name to Disabled American Veterans Memorial Program, PO BOX 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301. The family will receive friends from 6PM to 9PM Thursday at the funeral home 770-422-7299.
