Deloris Eulene Cook Ingram Bowling passed away on May 22, 2025. She was born in Waka, Texas on July 30, 1934. The baby girl of James Arthur Cook, Sr. and Beulah Elizabeth Corbin Cook. As the dust bowl wiped out their crops, the family all of who have preceded her in death moved back to Alabama. After the death of her Mother at age 9, Deloris spent her younger years with her father until her teens, when she moved to Gilmer County with her sister and two nephews. After graduating high school at Gilmer County High School, the family moved to Smyrna/Marietta.
Deloris worked at Williams Drug Store on the square in Marietta where she met and married Harry E. Ingram in November 1953. They were blessed with three children who survive her and love her dearly, Gena Trammell (Scott), Robert Ingram (Kelly), Daryl Ingram (Lisa).
Deloris was the picture of a perfect Mother with compassion and teaching her kids to love reading. She was an incredible cook and housekeeper in full-on June Cleaver style. She always had supper on the table by 5:30pm every day. Fluffy biscuits for every breakfast with a full spread. Deloris was the caregiver for several family members.
They built a home on Roberts Road and put a beauty shop in their basement. She loved her profession and her clients. Her clients enriched her life. She would prepare the dinner meal early in the morning and store it to be ready for her family.
During those years ,her son Robert came home and told his parents he had a friend who had nowhere to live and wanted to know if he could live with them. That brought Marc Fuglio (Cindy) into the family. She called him her foster son.
After 40 years of marriage, Deloris moved back to Alabama and married her childhood sweetheart, Dallas Bowling. They traveled everywhere together and took care of her older sister until she passed away.
After Dallas passed away she moved back to Georgia to be closer to her children and grandchildren that were her joy. She was a prayer warrior and loved the Lord Jesus.
Years later she moved to Brickmont Assisted Living on Cobb Parkway. She became the favorite of the staff and many called her Momma Dee.
She will be greatly missed and always remembered with love and affection.
