Dennis "Denny" Dean Carlson, a beloved and compassionate individual, passed away on January 25, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on February 6, 1947, in Wichita, Kansas, Denny was a devoted family man and a wise presence to all who knew him. He resided in Kennesaw, Georgia, where he was known for his hard-working nature and dedication to his friends and family.
Denny was a proud Navy veteran.
He was married to his devoted wife, Judy Richardson Carlson, for 55 years. Their enduring partnership was a cornerstone of his life. Denny was a loving father to his sons, Andy Carlson (Candy), who predeceased him, and Scott Carlson (Jenny), as well as a cherished grandfather to his grandchildren: Casey, Brethen, Isaiah, Alexus, and Devon. He was also a dear uncle to Annette, Renee, CJ, and Kendall.
In addition to his family commitments, Denny had a passion for sports and dedicated 15 years to coaching kids' baseball and basketball in Kennesaw. His influence and guidance left a lasting impact on the youth he coached.
Denny was predeceased by his parents, his brother Jim Carlson, and his nephew Steve Carlson.
