I was lucky enough to know Don in many different ways, as my family member, my friend and my mentor.
One would be hard pressed to find someone more intelligent, either technically, professionally or socially.
I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to get to know Don over the years and will cherish my memories of him always.

My Uncle Don was a very well respected and very loved man. He was kind, caring and helpful to all of our family.

I know he loved my Aunt Doris and was very proud of their marriage and of her.

He has been a part of our family longer than I have been alive. Uncle Don will be missed deeply and I send my love to my Aunt Doris.

It is with deep regret I must inform you about the passing of long-time member Mr. Don Meadows. Don and Doris Meadows joined Pinetree Country Club in November of 1972, that would be over fifty-one years ago.

When I first arrived at Pinetree, I noticed a nice elderly couple walking through our parking lot at the same time each day, and always holding hands. One day they both walked in to pay their bill and introduced themselves to me, which they would do every month for the next seven years. We often hear the term “they don’t make them like that anymore”, this would certainly apply to them.

I was so sorry to hear about Don’s passing.   He was a great man and always happy to chat with us at the club or walking around the block.   I will miss seeing and visiting with him.

Doris, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember whenever you and Don would come  into my office, I could tell you were always looking out for one another and cared for each other deeply. I’ve known many people in my line of work, but never have I seen anything like the love between you and Don.  Even though he is with our heavenly father, I know he will always stay close to you and watch over you. That’s what true love does.

Don was a wonderful man who we got to know over the years when he visited our Bistro he and Doris loved our food and were always so friendly Don will be greatly missed by us.

I will always remember Don as being a kind, soft spoken gentleman. I was amazed at how organized he was when he came into the bank where I worked. He always had his paperwork in hand  and ready to discuss interest rates. Doris, my heart is saddened by your loss and my thoughts and prayers are with you always.

Don will be sorely missed. He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. I was his insurance agent for 45 years and could not have asked for a better person to discuss business with. He also was a fellow real investor and we enjoyed discussing the ups and downs of that business. He was devoted to his wife Doris and they went everywhere together. My thoughts go out to the family members.

I am so sad to hear of Don's passing.  I was Don's secretary for 15 years at Lockheed.  He was a great boss.  I remember only one disagreement.  It was when he placed the new Word Processing machine on my desk!!  We had to keep up with the latest technology.  I learned the system and loved it just like he said I would!!  

He was an exception person and a good friend.  He will be missed.  Doris, you are a strong person, and I can tell you from personal experience that you will get through this.  Prayers for you and your family.

My uncle was the perfect definition of gentleman. He was wise, tender hearted, devoted and resolute. A best friend to my dad and a pillar of comfort and strength to every member of our family.  I cannot remember a single family dinner he was not a part of; and as such, he was an excellent example of integrity and kindness to us all. We continue to carry him in our hearts, treasure the moments we shared, miss him tremendously, and look forward to our sweet reunion one day. Doris I am so sorry for your loss. But earth's  loss is heaven's gain . I believe Don is resting in the arm's of Jesus. I would like to say a few words about Don. He was one of the most kind, caring and respectful people I knew. He always had a smile and a kind word to share. Don was extremely smart and made many accomplishments in his career with Lockheed.  Don also graduated from Georgia Tech, he had two law degrees. He also loved his country and served it well in the military.  While Don was busy making advancements in the military and at Lockheed, he helped others to soar as well. And for that I know he earned a lot of respect.  He was one of those people that made others feel important in whatever path they chose in life as long as it was morally right . He believed in a fair wage for  a day's work.  The reason I know  these things about Don because  I was his housekeeper and his friend.  And now I work for his sweet wife Doris who is  a beautiful person.  So Don I know Doris and I will see you again one day so it's not goodbye its see you later.

I am so very sorry for your loss.  Don was a true gentleman and scholar.   The two of you were so close and always wonderful company to myself and my parents. The world is a better place because of him.  He helped so many people throughout his lifetime.

Don and Doris have been our neighbors and friends for many years.  Our sympathies go out to Doris during this sad time.

Don Meadows was a GREAT AMERICAN, wonderful community leader, and fine husband of Doris for 63 years. The Bible verse from Matthew 25:21 certainly epitomizes Don's life -- "His Lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant; thou has been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord." May God surround you Doris in His love as you are comforted by your many friends and extended family. Isn't it wonderful that we'll see our beloved in Heaven! I was so sad to hear Don had passed. He was a wonderful man who was gentle, kind, generous, and hardworking. He was quiet but always smiling. He will be deeply missed. It has been a pleasure to know him and his wife Doris. Praying for the family.

I know you are missing Don very much. He was such a quiet man with a good heart and always available to help where he could. I will hold dear the memory of you both walking up Club Dr. hand in hand.

Dearest Doris,  I was remembering Don today 1-13-24. I had no idea he had passed.  I have so many good memories of him and of you .  I simply googled and came upon this obituary. I think God was guiding me to seek him out.   Im so glad I did.
