Dorothy lived a life defined by generosity, strength, and unwavering love for others. For more than 20 years, she co-operated a house cleaning business with her friend, Debra Willard, where her dedication, work ethic, and care touched countless homes and lives. She took pride not only in her work, but in the relationships, she built along the way. Lovingly known as Aunt Poot, Who-Who, Mimi, and Aunt Dorothy, she embraced those titles with joy. Though she was unable to have children of her own, she was a natural mother to all of her nieces and nephews, loving them as if they were her own.
At her core, Dorothy was a caregiver in every sense of the word. She found joy in cooking and feeding others, always making sure no one went without a warm meal or a place to feel safe. Her home was a haven—open to those in need, filled with laughter, comfort, and kindness. She was the heart of her family, the one everyone leaned on—their rock, their strength, and their constant source of support.
Dorothy had a special way of making life feel magical, especially during the holidays. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she went all out decorating her home, creating warmth and wonder for everyone who walked through her door. She loved crafts, bringing creativity and joy into everything she made. She also had a playful spirit, especially when it came to the children in her life, whom she adored and lovingly spoiled.
Known for her strong mind and even stronger heart, Dorothy faced many health challenges throughout her life. Through it all, she held her chin high, meeting each obstacle with resilience, courage, and grace. She was truly a fighter—never defined by her struggles, but by how she rose above them.
Dorothy will be remembered as loving, caring, funny, and endlessly generous. She had a gift for seeing the good in everyone and made each person feel valued and cared for. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched, the family she cherished, and the love she gave so freely.
Dorothy is survived by her sister, Diane Truelove; nieces and nephews, Sarah Truelove, Jason Allibone, Mindy Millwood, Joey Bearden, Kaytlyn Day, Makayla Mills, Morgan Garrett, and Ammirati Allibone; and all of her Millwood Family; extended family, and many friends. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband Keith Devon Millwood.
She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved
