Edward Gibson, 82, of White, died Sunday June 21, 2015. Funeral is Wednesday, June 24, 4pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw with Rev. David Gresham officiating. Entombment will follow at Pineridge Memorial Park.
A lifelong resident of Bartow County, Mr. Gibson was self-employed in construction as a Brick Mason. He was a veteran, having served in the US Army, and a church member of Praise Tabernacle in Cartersville. Edward will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, friend, and a sweet, gentle soul by all who knew and loved him. Mr. Gibson was preceded in death by his son – David Gibson, parents – Ben and Emmer Gibson, and his brothers – Jack Gibson and Johnny Gibson.
He is survived by his wife Irene, children – Bobby Wright, Ricky Wright, Dexter Gibson, Danny Gibson, Karen Bolt and Crystal Gibson, brother – Wayne Gibson, and sisters – Mary Frances, Wilma, and Louis. There are also 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren that survive.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday beginning at 2pm.
