Eric was born on June 26, 1949 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Leonard and Anne Hurgenroeder Weidner. Eric attended Penn State University and Vanderbilt University and remained loyal to both. Eric's career path was real estate as an agent, owner and broker. Eric found pleasure in gardening, feeding birds, cheering for the Braves , Dawgs and Nittany Lions but most of all having Sunday dinners. Above all he treasured time with his family. Having grandchildren brought tremendous joy to him to be a part of their lives.
Eric is survived by his wife of 48 years Marianne (Dineen). Eric has one son, Eric Weidner (Megan) of Marietta ; one daughter, Lindsey Waggoner (Brian) of Ball Ground. Eric also has four grandchildren; Garrett, Emma, Taylor and Maddie. Eric has two brothers, Leonard Weidner ( Marge) and Daniel Weidner (Pat); and three sisters, Beth Holden (Gary), Chich Oblinger (Russell) and Julie Olson (Mark).
Visitation will be held on October 26th from 6-8 at Winkenhofer Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on October 27th at 10:30 at Saint Catherine’s of Sienna.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to The Special Olympics.
