Ethel L. Chase

January 12, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio to Elizabeth and George Thomas. A graveside service for Ethel will

be held Friday, August 13, 2021, 2:00 pm at Georgia Memorial Park, Marietta, GA with Chaplain James

Kenton officiating.

Ethel was a strong woman of faith and was a lifelong member of the Church of God. She believed in

being a servant of God and served the Church in many capacities, Choir member, Sunday School Teacher,

Superintendent of Sunday School, President of the Missionary Board, and the Finance Committee. Her

servant heart also led her to be active with her children's education and led to Ethel becoming the

President of the PTA. Ethel was the Past President of the North Cobb Senior Center in Acworth. Ethel

touched many lives and will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

Ethel is survived by her daughters Minister Ingrid M. Chase, Sonya J. Thompson, Leslie A. Buford; and son Meldon A. Chase II (Denise); her grandchildren Tiffany, Kyle, Reginald, Karl, Kevin, Meldon III, and Chantel and her five great grandchildren. Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Bishop Meldon A. Chase, father George Thomas, mother Elizabeth Thomas, and her seven siblings.
