
Eunice Norman Paris, 90, of Kennesaw, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2013. Born May 2, 1923, in Dewey Rose, Elbert County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Guy Victor Norman and the late Gussie Erah Power Norman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Emmett Paris.
A native of Elberton, Mrs. Paris lived in Kennesaw for almost 40 years and was a longtime member of Towne View Baptist Church in Kennesaw. She had several jobs in her working career, including elementary school teacher in Dalton, Bell Aircraft during WWII, agent with Northside Realty, and bookkeeper for Curtis E. Paris Contracting Company. She attended West Georgia College where she and Curtis met. She loved people and had a beautiful gift for bringing joy to family and friends with her positive outlook on life and her quick sense of humor.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Chris Edmonson of Powder Springs; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Jack Gabel of White; daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Greg Jones of Daphne, Alabama; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Norman of Kennesaw, and Carolyn Paris of Roswell.
Funeral services were held Saturday, September 14, at 3 pm in the chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw with Rev. Jim Conrad officiating. Graveside service followed at Pineridge Memorial Park. The family received friends on Friday, September 13, from 6 pm to 8 pm, and on Saturday, September 14, from 2 pm to 3 pm.
In lieu of flowers the family requested donations be made to Towne View Baptist Church, 950 Shiloh Road, Kennesaw, Georgia, 30144.
