Ezra Wallace Carter, age 77 passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. Wally was a devoted and loving husband to his wife Judith for 45 years, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed going on cruises, loved hunting and spending time with his boys, family and friends. Wally served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He was an active member of the American Legion where he enjoyed drinking cold Coors Light and having conversations with close friends.
Wally is survived by his sons, Bill Carter (Dawn) Jim Carter (Ashley); sister Regina, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Wally was preceded in death by his wife Judith Carter; his parents Ezra and Georgia Ashworth Carter
A visitation for Wally will be held Sunday, February 23, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday, February 24, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Drive, Canton, Georgia 30194.
Anyone that want to go in the procession from the funeral home to the cemetery needs to be at Winkenhofer Funeral Home by 9:00 am on Feburary 24, 2025. The procession will leave at 9:30 am.
