Frances Laraine Turner

Mrs. Frances “Laraine” Turner, age 66, of Hiram, Georgia passed away Monday, March 7, 2022. Laraine was born on May 20, 1955, in Marietta, Georgia, the daughter to the late Robert and Frances Kilgore.

Laraine was raised in Marietta, GA, where she married the love of her life, Donald Turner. Their marriage was blessed with three children, the late Brandy, Phil, and Shane. Laraine and Donald loved each other and enjoyed sharing precious moments and adventures together.

A Certified Nursing Assistant, Laraine worked at the Paulding WellStar Nursing and Rehabilitation center. Dedicating her life to taking care of those unable to care for themselves. She had a calling to ensure that these individuals were treated like family and even attended many of the funerals of the patients she cared for.

A lifelong follower of Jesus Christ, Laraine enjoyed singing solo and in the church choir. Donald and Laraine spent time with friends at gospel singings across the southeast. Baking was her passion; her family loved all the desserts she would bring for family functions. Above all else, she would rather be nowhere other than spending time with her family.

Laraine had a servant heart, she molded this by routinely visiting widows among her circle of friends. Often finding the best deal on milk, buying in abundance and distributing it out elderly church members. Laraine routinely did without to ensure that her kids did not have to.

Along with her parents, Laraine is preceded in death by her daughter, Brandy, and her brother Mike Kilgore. She is survived by her two loving children: son, Robert (Phil), daughter-in-law Shalon, and grandchildren Aslin and Ryland of Madison, Wisconsin; son, Michael (Shane), daughter-in-law Sarah, and grandchildren Jackson, Kyle, and Eve-Laraine of Huntsville, Alabama.

The visitation for Laraine Turner will take place at four o’ clock in the afternoon on Thursday, March 10, 2022, and twelve-thirty on Friday March 11, 2022 at the Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw, Georgia. The funeral service to honor the life of Laraine Turner will be two o’ clock in the afternoon following the visitation on March 11, 2022. A reception to follow the conclusion of the service at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home.
