OBITUARIO
Franklin "Frank" Lynell Conner
2 octubre , 1934 – 9 enero , 2018
An interesting place, Heaven must be. On January 9th a man of small stature strode through its pearly gates, and wandered into its dining halls to see what he could grab to eat. I'm sure he's decided to sit there a while. This small town man who's strode everywhere from the Alaskan Tundra to the African Savannahs now regales our fallen forefathers with tales of distant lands; and sings the praises of his remaining kin.
Until we see him again, let him enjoy eternity in the lands of paradise.
Frank Conner is survived by his wife, Dorothy Ann Conner, his sister Mattie Watson; son Jeffrey (Marie) Conner; son Tony ( Kathy) Conner; daughter Angela Marie Laster; daughter Charlene (Curt) Rountree; daughter Beverly Carol Taylor; daughter Valarie (Jim) Dunn; son Franklin (Tonia) Conner, Jr; and son Eric (Donna) Conner; grandchilden Brian Conner, Brett Conner, Jeremy Conner, Alan Laster, Lee Laster, Jonathan Dyer, Stephen Dyer, Elizabeth Dyer, Amber Koreny, Sarah Meadows, Stephanie Meadows, Jesse Conner, Travis Conner; great grandchildren Franklin Conner, Emily Conner, Hazel Conner, Evelyn Conner, Dannie Lynn Mayfield, Saraphina Laster, Amara Koreny and Ethan Rapka.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. A funeral service to honor the life of Frank will be held in the chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Camp Dream Foundation at http://www.campdreamga.org/donate/

May you fly higher
than any bird ever has before
Farther still than any plane
you helped to forge
May your wings only ever
be kissed by warm winds,
May you be blessed with peaceful travel
as your earthly journey ends.
May the defiance in your spirit burn
in the fire of our eyes.
May your devotion to your family follow us throughout our lives.
May your face appear to us when we think to weep.
May you roll your eyes and fuss at us for thinking
you've gone to endless sleep.
May you lift the veil of mourning
and help us to realize
That when you dwell in memory
You will never die.
You'll have to wait a while Papa, but one day I'll see you. Enjoy your new home.

I was looking at the most beautiful animal ever and I said 'is that an elk? It is the biggest one i have ever seen.' Charlene said ' It's a kudu.' And she just laughed and said Daddy would get a laugh out of you calling it an elk. And i said yes he would.

So...yes... I'm blowing up Facebook today because I'm finally getting a little bit of downtime....
As you know from a previous post my dad taught us all how to stick our tongues out...well...we couldn't go through yesterday without having that lasting impression go unnoticed so my mom and a couple sisters did this....dad would have laughed so hard at this! Feel free...we did!

They say that the eyes are the window to the soul. I never met Mr. Conner, but Valarie posts pictures that reveal a kind, sweet and loving man with a little twinkle in his eyes. His loving memory will always be with you.

One of my favorite memories with my Papa happened when I was much younger. I remember taking a ride in his truck with him and we went to these clay hills where people were riding ATVs over the hills, doing jumps, etc. Papa decided to take his truck over the hills too. We didn't see any air but I remember it feeling exhilarating, especially because I didn't think the truck would make it up some of the slopes.

Frank is an amazing man in many ways but it's hard to describe without a story. Everyone thinks their dad is the best dad in the world and like everyone else I considered my father to be the best dad ever. Frank is and was the kind of unbelievable man that I would consider to be the best dad and he wasn't my dad. That's how special he was to everyone in his life. I have so many awesome memories of events, hunts and talks that we had and I will never forget the way he treated me like his own son, every time we were together. I am a better person because of the love and guidance he gave me as young adult. You will be missed.

I had the pleasure of knowing Frank for 27 years and he was nothing short of hilarious and caring. He loved his family so much! I will always remember playing with Amber at his and Granny's house when he kept calling me Passie or Lassie. He'd laugh at me when I got mad and tried to correct him. I am thankful to have known such a special and loved man!
