Glenn Braxter Jackson

Mr. Glenn Braxter Jackson, 79, of McDonough, GA, passed away on July 4, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Glenn was born on April 6, 1943 to the late Mr. Fisher Bowen Jackson and Mrs. Glenna Apple Bing Jackson in East Lynn, WV.

Glenn was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was also a gardener and woodworker who loved to read Louis L'Amour books and watch western movies. Most of all, Glenn loved his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will surely be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, and wife of over 60 years, Lenora Gilkerson Jackson and brother, David Lynn Jackson.

He is survived by his sons Glenn Jackson (Michelle); and Kevin Jackson (Amy); his daughter Ronny Minnix (Ted); his brother Frank Eric Jackson; sisters; Gladys Kaye Pratt and Joyce Gayle Lombardo, his grandchildren Keith Brandon Jackson, Jonathan Robert Jackson, David Todd Minnix, Alexander Chase Jackson and Abbagail Grace Jackson, and three great grandchildren, and favorite dog, Little Bit.

A graveside service for Glenn will be conducted at the Georgia National Cemetery on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at ten o'clock in the morning with military honors rendered.

The family will receive friends at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home from 7:30 in the morning until 8:45.
