James “Bo” Michael McDaniel, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026 after battling cancer. Bo was born on April 18, 1957, in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, the son to Peggy McDaniel and the late James Riley McDaniel.
Bo went to Rossville High School, where he played football, basketball, and was class president. Although Bo left the area to pursue other career opportunities after college, he always remained connected to his community, family, and friends.
One of the career opportunities Bo pursued was working in security management at Six Flags over Georgia. It was there Bo met the love of his life, Bonnie. They married on September 10, 1983 and had two children, Holly and Kayla.
Bo loved his family and made every sacrifice to give them the life he felt they deserved. Bo could make anyone feel like the most important person in the room and his enthusiasm was infectious. Even if you didn’t love the Braves or Georgia Bulldogs, you loved them when watching with Bo. He also had a keen mind and had an illustrious career in Human Relations, ending with serving as Enterprise Talent Management Director for the State of Georgia.
A celebration of life and visitation for Bo will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm with service to follow.
