Jerry Eugene Waldrop Sr.

Mr. Waldrop was born on May 31, 1953 in Marietta, GA., a son of the late James Franklin Waldrop and Christine Runell Moss.

Mr. Waldrop enjoyed working on cars and scuba diving; however, he also achieved a private flying license. He was a member and a former president of Angel Flight.He loved flying, but his greatest joy and peace came from spending time with his family. Jerry was a wonderful brother, husband, father, and grandfather; he will certainly be missed by all who knew him. Mr. Waldrop is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Kathleen Estelle Waldrop; one son, Jerry Eugene Waldrop Jr. of Ballground; two daughters, Jennifer Leigh Mines of Marietta, GA., and Amanda Marie Jones of Acworth, GA.; two brothers, Jimmy Lee Waldrop Sr. of Canton, GA., and Claude Waldrop of Acworth, GA.; three sisters, Eva Heath of Dallas, Vivian Porter of North Carolina, and Sherry James of Acworth, GA.; six grandchildren, Alyssa, Joseph, Elise, Kiersten, Carter, and Levi; many nieces and nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00pm on Sunday, September 11, 2016 in the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home with Cheryl Wyatt officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm until time of service on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home.
