John "Tommy" Thomas Ellison

John "Tommy" Thomas Ellison, age 80, of Marietta, Georgia passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021. Tommy was born August 7, 1941 in Marietta, Georgia to Ruth Ellis Ellison and Clyde Ellison. Tommy was a family man who loved his family unconditionally. Tommy worked with the United States Postal Service for over 30 years. He also enjoyed working with Bruce Sutter on projects, fishing and valued their friendship. He loved being outdoors and cutting grass and “taking breaks.”

Tommy is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Waters of Marietta, Georgia; and Cathy Ellison of Dallas, Georgia; his brother, Burton Ellison of Kennesaw, Georgia; his grandchildren Blaire Waters, Blaine Waters, Jeremy Mitchell, Ashley Patrick (Champion); his great grandchildren Stephen Mitchell, Abigail Patrick and Iiyla.

Tommy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Pamela Minter Ellison; his father, Clyde Ellison and his mother, Ruth Ellis Ellison.

A visitation for Tommy will be held Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. A funeral service will occur Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 1:00 PM, from the Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Chapel. Burial will occur Thursday, September 30, 2021 following the funeral service at The Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 1605 Mars Hill Rd, Acworth, Georgia 30101.
