John Benjamin Youngblood, age 30, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020. John was born March 19, 1990 to Virginia Marshall Youngblood and Jerry Youngblood in Augusta, Georgia. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, son, grandson, cousin, and a proud uncle. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents James Edward Marshall Jr. and Virginia Barnes "Barney" Marshall The most important aspect of his life was family.
John married Beth Anne Mathis on May 14, 2016 at Frost Chapel on the campus of Berry College in Rome, Georgia. They enjoyed four and a half years of marriage. One of the favorite things to do was attend country music concerts. John loved his wife with all his heart and often bought her flowers to show how much he loved her.
John absolutely loved and adored his two year old daughter Emerson. He loved taking Emmy on daddy-daughter breakfast dates and reading her books before bedtime.
John was an only child and was so thankful to have three sister-in-laws that he adored.
John enjoyed University of Georgia Football and the Atlanta Braves. He also enjoyed going to the beach and the mountains. He will be loved and missed by all that knew him.
John is survived by his wife, Beth Anne Youngblood, daughter Emerson Jane Youngblood, his parents Jerry and Virginia Youngblood, grandmother Julie Curl (Bill), aunt Mary Helton (Jim), cousins Katie Helton, Lonnie Helton (Mary Beth), father-in-law Darryl Mathis (Lynn), mother-in-law Shelley Mathis; sister-in-laws, Maria Irwin (Paul), Mallory Mathis and Melany Mathis; nephews William and Dansby Irwin.
A visitation for John will be held Tuesday, December 8, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 Cobb Pkwy NW. A private funeral service, by invitation only, will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 2:00 at the funeral home. Burial will follow services at Pine Ridge Memorial Park.
