Joy Elizabeth Clift, age 74, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023. She was born in Asheville, North Carolina on June 15, 1949, to the late Edward and Mildred Knighten. Joy was a light in many people's lives, she was a great listener, and she could naturally draw people in. Joy knew how to make you feel important and loved. She was very creative and was a fantastic painter. Joy enjoyed cooking and was known for making a great meal for her family. She loved her cat, Alice dearly and they both enjoyed watching birds together. Joy was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend. She will be missed by all that knew her.
Joy is survived by her husband of 40 years, Corbitt Clift, her son, Alex Clift, her brothers; Bill and Johnny Knighten, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Joy is preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Knighten, and sister, Barbara Owens.

A visitation for Joy will be held Friday, December 29, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, GA 30152, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM.
