Pastor Judith Mae Edwards was born on January 25, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan. She was the daughter of the late Mattie Lou Edwards and Ulysses Ware. Judith accepted Christ at the early age of 4, and was Baptized by the late E.R. Jones of Beulah Baptist Church in Inkster, Michigan, where she was a member for many years.
Judith attended school in the Inkster Public Schools System where she graduated from Inkster High School. At an early age she married the late Cleo A. Hister, the father of Maurice and Charles.
Judith studied Criminal Justice at Wayne County Community College and Schoolcraft College, where she received Degrees from both schools.
She worked at many jobs, but it was at Kelsey Hayes Plant of Romulus where she met her loving husband Darnley, her husband of 44 years.
In 1984, Judith redirected her life to Christ and became a member of the Church of The New Covenant under the leadership of Reverend Thomas Spann, where she served faithfully for 12 years.
Judith was led to move to Christian Faith Church in Ypsilanti, Michigan under the leadership of Bishop Roger and Pastor Linda Johnson. She walked in her calling as an Evangelist and was later ordained as Elder Williams. Judith loved the Street Ministry, witnessing to the lost souls. She also loved working with children and taught Sunday school, New Members class, as well as directed the Youth and Children's Choir. Judith loved Christian Faith Ministry but after many years she was led by the Lord to help with Zion House Christian Church under the leadership of Pastor William Jackson. Elder Williams said the Lord told her to despise not small beginnings.
After 25 years working with the Department of Corrections as a Correction Officer, Judith retired in 2010. In 2011 she moved to Woodstock, GA, a place she grew to love after many visits and she made it home. In October 2011 she became a member of Empowerment Tabernacle Christian Church under the leadership of Pastor Allen Hinton, teaching Adult and Children Sunday school. She was the presiding Pastor of Christian Faith Universal Ministries in Woodstock, GA where she joyfully met her flock since June 2019 and always said it was an honor and she loved it.
