Julia Kay Sander

Julie was born on September 17, 1941 in Forest, IN, the youngest daughter of Cleo and Meriam Sheets. She graduated from Forest High School in 1959. Then went on to earn her bachelors and master’s degrees from Ball State Teachers College. She was the first in her family to graduate from college and went on to teach for over 30 years.

After accepting Jesus as her Lord and Savior in 1981, she stayed very active in her church and ministry endeavors.

Julie was preceded in death by her husband Allen, sisters Joyce Berry and Joan Marshall, Brother Norman Sheets.

She is survived by son Jeffrey (Shonda) of Decatur, IL, daughter Cheryl of Acworth, GA, grandsons Joshua Sander and Matthew Sander. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Dorothy Sander and Sandy Sheets and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the ICU and Critical Care Teams at Piedmont Cartersville for the excellent care and empathy during her last days.

A visitation will be held starting December 10 Visitation will be at 12 pm, followed by the service at 1 pm at Wildwood Baptist Church, 4801 Wade Green Road in Acworth GA. with a celebration of life service to follow at 1:00 pm.
