

Ky is survived by his five children; Mr. Son Dinh of Raleigh, NC; Ms. Ha Dinh of Raleigh, NC; Ms. Hong Dinh of Marietta, GA, Ms. Kim Dinh of Leonardtown, MD; and, Mr. Cuong Dinh of Marietta, GA. Mr. Dinh is also survived by his 11 grandchildren.
Ky lived a fulfilling life and immigrated with his family from Vietnam after the fall of Saigon in 1975. The family settled in Elmira, NY where Ky worked for Hardinge Brothers, Inc. and subsequently relocated to Charlotte, NC for the majority of his children’s formative years. Ky retired from Hardinge Brothers, Inc. after many years of employment as a Machine Tools Service Technician. Ky was well known as a good cook, avid fisherman, enjoyed spending his spare time helping others and with his family.
A visitation for Ky will be held Friday, October 4, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 Cobb Pkwy NW, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 87 Lacy St. NW, Marietta, GA 30060. Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church (located in Elmira, NY) sponsored the Dinh family upon their arrival to the United States and the generosity, kindness and love from the parish members was essential in helping the family establish their foothold. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Ky Van Dinh Memorial Go Fund Me page. All proceeds received will be bundled with personal family funds to provide a $10,000 donation to Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church in Elmira, NY.
