Lamar Richard Belcher passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016. A funeral service for Mr. Belcher will be held on Tuesday, August 30 at Calvary Baptist Church in Acworth at 1pm. Burial will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Belcher enjoyed spending time outside whether it was coaching little league, gardening, or playing softball with Calvary Baptist Church where he was a member for many years. Lamar was an employee of Lockheed for 41 years.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Julia Hunt Belcher; two sons – Matt Belcher and Richard Todd Belcher; two granddaughters – Jesseca and Kacie Belcher; brother – Dennis Belcher; sister – Margaret Petty. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will be receiving friends on Monday, August 29 from 5-8pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Samaritan's Purse PO Box 3000 Boone, NC 28607 828.262.1980.
