Mr. Lawrence Peter Finnegan, age 95, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away May 19, 2024. Lawrence was born on October 25,1928 in Brookline Massachusetts, the son of Irish emigrants, Peter Austin Finnegan and Ellen Broderick Finnegan.
Lawrence, better known as Larry, graduated from Boston College with a BS in Business Administration and began his career with Playtex industries in Dover, Delaware. He started out in the aerospace division working on helmets and flight suits for the U2 and Apollo programs. He finished out his career as corporate VP of Reichhold Chemicals Inc.
He met his wife Corrine in Dover, and they married in Holy Cross Catholic Church. They remained married for 66 years and had three children, Brian Peter and Kristen Ellen, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Corrine, son Larry Brian, daughter-in-law Ruth, and two grandchildren, Ryan and Gregory.
He will be remembered as a faithful Catholic, plus a wonderful loving husband and father. He played many sports and was especially fond of golf. He will be deeply missed.
Funeral will be held at St Josph’s Catholic Church on May 29, 2024, at 10AM
