Dearest Family,
I was shocked at the news of your Mom's death. She and I shared many things when I would see her at St. Vincent's. She was always with a smile and a big hug for me. Lifting me up when things were weighing on my shoulders. I regret I cannot see you to tell you this or honor her by attending the funeral. We are in Florida taking care of our grandson while his Dad (our son Edward) and Mom are serving in the Air Force.
